갤러리작은 2007년 서초구 양재동에 개관한 화랑입니다. 문턱을 낮춘 갤러리로 미술 애호가들이 편안하게 찾는 문화공간을 표방하면서 연 4회 이상의 기획전을 개최하여 미술계, 컬렉터, 언론이 주목하는 갤러리로 성장했습니다.

그동안 원로, 중진, 신진, 해외 작가 등 세계적인 작가들의 작품을 엄선하여 수준 높은 전시를 선보여왔고, 국내외 아트페어에도 꾸준히 참가하여 우수한 평가를 받았습니다.

또한 기업, 병원, 은행 등을 대상으로 아트 컨설팅을 진행, 전시공간을 벗어나 움직이는 갤러리의 개념으로 “생활 속의 미술”을 실천해왔으며 좋은 미술품 구입의 길잡이 역할을 하고 있습니다.

갤러리작은 한국을 포함한 세계 미술계의 동시대적 변화를 조명하고 작가와 대중 사이에서 친근한 소통의 장으로 자리함은 물론 강남 지역의 문화명소이자 세계 속의 갤러리를 꿈꾸며 현재도 적극적인 신진 작가 발굴과 리빙 브랜드와의 콜라보 등 다양한 활동을 이어나가고 있습니다.

Gallery JHAK (作, “to create”) is a contemporary art gallery in Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, founded in 2007. Committed to making art approachable, the gallery offers an inviting cultural space for art lovers and has grown into a recognized name among collectors, press, and the broader art community through four or more curated exhibitions each year.

Over the past eighteen years Gallery JHAK has presented carefully selected works by established masters, mid-career artists, and emerging talents from Korea and abroad. Since 2012 the gallery has been a regular participant in international art fairs, including the Hong Kong Asia Contemporary Art Show, championing Korean artists on the global stage.

Beyond its exhibition programme, Gallery JHAK provides art consulting services for corporations, hospitals, and financial institutions, bringing art into workplaces and public spaces.
